The Kosovo issue polarizes the EU member states, nevertheless, it cannot appear on the list of already defined EU accession criteria, she stressed. I cannot specify the amount of the investments made, but they are certainly considerable, particularly taken into account that they come from a small country, Koll said. "As far as Belgrade and the Serbs in Kosovo are concerned, we are aware that we cannot solve problems on our own, that we need to talk to the ethnic Albanians. But we do not consider Kosovo's status a done deal. We will reopen the process and attempt to finally settle Kosovo's status," he said and added that the Albanians got everything, while the Serbs lost everything. According to him, the newly opened "EU office in northern Kosovo, which some people tried to abuse, is meant to establish European values and standards in northern Kosovo and is not an attempt at integration."
