|Cairo: A decoration presentation ceremony for former Egyptian MFA Ahmed Aboul Gheit|

Secretary General of the Arab League and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt Ahmed Aboul Gheit was awarded a medal at a ceremony hosted at the Embassy of Serbia in Cairo, on the occasion of the Statehood Day. The President of the Republic of Serbia awarded the Order of the Serbian Flag of the First Degree to Ahmed Aboul Gheit for special merits in the development of friendship between Egypt and Serbia.
Expressing his gratitude for this recognition, Mr. Aboul Gheit said that he was particularly honoured to be presented with this decoration since Egypt and Serbia fostered a long-standing friendship and traditionally good relations.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of Egyptian officials, government members, representatives of the diplomatic and military diplomatic corps, public figures, and by a large number of media representatives. The Order was presented by Nedeljko Tenjovic, Personal Envoy of the President of the Republic of Serbia.
