Moscow: Ambassador's address at press conference in memory of Vitaly Churkin

altInternational Scientific and Practical Conference in memory of Vitaly Churkin, Russian Ambassador to the United Nations, was held at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on 20 February, on the date of the second anniversary of his death.

Serbian Ambassador Slavenko Terzic attended the conference and recalled the importance of Churkin's work and his supportive activities as Special Representative of Russia to Bosnia and Herzegovina in times of the serious crisis in the region of the former SFRY. He highlighted that Serbia revered Churkin's credits and that he was posthumously decorated with the Order of the Serbian Flag First Class.


The book "Vitaly Churkin: He could have become the second "Mr. Nyet" written by Bishop Nikolai Balashihinski and published by the Moscow Patriarchate, was presented at the conference.
