DACIC, BULGARIAN PM DISCUSS WAYS TO BOOST COOP
BOSILEGRAD, 13 April 2017 (Beta) - The first deputy prime minister and foreign minister, Ivica Dacic, and Bulgarian Prime Minister Ognyan Gerdzhikov in Bosilegrad on April 13 said that they were happy with the good bilateral relations, and expressed readiness to further boost ties. They discussed bilateral cooperation primarily in the fields of the economy, infrastructure and energy, as well as matters of interest for the Bulgarian minority, according to a statement from the foreign ministry. The two officials especially underlined the importance to realize joint projects, as soon as possible - the construction of the Nis-Sofia highway, the reconstruction of the Nis-Dimitrovgrad railway and the construction of the Serbia-Bulgaria gas connection. They also expressed their respective countries'readiness to engage in economically strengthening Bosilegrad and the region and thereby increase the living standard of the population.
DEJAN SAHOVIC APPOINTED NEW AMBASSADOR TO VATICAN
BELGRADE, 13 April 2017 (Beta) - Dejan Sahovic is Serbia's new ambassador to the Vatican, as published in the Official Gazette. Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic signed a decree on the Sahovic appointment on April 10. Nikolic recalled Mirko Jelic from the ambassadorial post in mid-March. Jelic was appointed at the end of 2012.
