Bogota: Đurić took over the duty of ambassador to the Republic of Colombia

Today, Ambassador Marko Đurić officially took over the duty of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Colombia on a non-residential basis, based in Washington.

At a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace of Nariño in Bogota, Ambassador Đurić presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Colombia, Iván Duque.

The solemn ceremony was also attended by the Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, Marta Ramírez.

In a conversation with Duque, Đurić expressed satisfaction with the good state of bilateral relations, as well as cooperation in multilateral forums such as the Organization of American States and the Association of Caribbean States.

Ambassador Đurić conveyed to President Duque the personal greetings of President Aleksandar Vučić, as well as the invitation to visit Serbia in the coming period.

"Serbia strives to improve the dialogue with all Latin American countries, and we consider Colombia a key partner on that path. We have jointly recognized the significant potential for cooperation in the field of agriculture, tourism and education, and in the coming period we will focus on development projects in these areas", said Đurić.
