Bratislava: Chargé d'Affaires Barlović at the opening of naive painting exhibition

An exhibition of paintings by Pavel Hajko, a naive painter from Kovačica, was opened at the Ethnographic Museum in Martin, and Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Slovakia Marija Barlović was present at the opening.

The opening of the exhibition was organized by the Slovak National Museum and Babka Gallery from Kovačica, under the auspices of Mojmir Vrlik, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Serbia to the Slovak Republic.

A large number of admirers of naive art were present at the opening of the exhibition, and the cultural program, performed by Pavel Balaz, contributed to making a very positive impression on all present people.

In her address, Chargé d'Affaires Barlović pointed out the historical connection between the people and the cultural creativity of Serbia and Slovakia.

Chargé d'Affaires Barlović particularly emphasised that this year marked the 220th anniversary of Slovak settlement in Kovačica, and that representatives of the Slovak national community in Serbia, as well as the Serbian national minority in Slovakia, made a special contribution to the traditional friendship between the two countries.

In addition to Chargé d'Affaires Barlović, the participants were greeted by Vuk Radulović, Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and Information Maja Gojković, Radovan Sikora, Director of the Museum in Martin, Jaroslav Hrubik, Mayor of Kovačica, author Pavel Hajko, and Honorary Consul of the Republic of Serbia Mojmir Vrlik.
