The Patriarch received the ambassadors of Serbia in Syria, Morocco and Congo

On 1 July 2021, at the Patriarchal Palace in Belgrade, His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch, received the newly appointed ambassadors of the Republic of Serbia to the Syrian Arab Republic, Mr. Radovan Stojanović, in the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr. Ivan Bauer and in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Prof. Miroljub Jevtić.

During the reception, the Serbian Patriarch Porfirije talked with the newly appointed ambassadors of the Republic of Serbia to Syria, Morocco and Congo about deepening cooperation between states, peoples, churches and religious communities at all levels, considering that the Serbian Orthodox Church nurtures a centuries-old tradition of open and sincere interfaith dialogue.

The three Serbian ambassadors thanked for the honor of being received by the Serbian Patriarch and members of the Holy Synod of Bishops, as well as for the very useful advice that will serve them in the diplomatic mission for the benefit of all citizens of the Republic of Serbia.

The reception was attended by Bishop Dr. Irinej of Bačka, Bishop Fotije of Zvornik-Tuzla, Bishop Dr. David of Krusevac, Retired Canadian Bishop Georgije and the head of the Office of the Serbian Patriarch, Deacon Aleksandar Praščević.
