Romania: Ambassador Tomašević with Minister of Education Cîmpeanu

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Bucharest, Stefan Tomašević, met today with the Minister of Education of Romania, Sorin-Mihai Cîmpeanu.

On that occasion, the interlocutors stated that the bilateral relations between our two countries are historically good.

Also, Tomašević and Cîmpeanu pointed out the potential, as well as the readiness for further deepening of cooperation in the field of education, emphasizing the importance of studying the Serbian and Romanian languages at the universities of the two countries.

Ambassador Tomašević thanked Romania for its continuous and principled support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia, as well as for its support on the path to EU integration.

Tomašević also expressed gratitude to Romania for the quick reaction and the donation of 50,000 doses of the "AstraZeneca" vaccine, which he characterized as a special gesture of friendship and good neighborliness.

Minister Cîmpeanu emphasized Romania's openness to work with Serbia on improving cooperation in the field of education.

The importance of the progress achieved by Serbia in the framework of cooperation with the International Organization of La Francophonie and the University Agency of La Francophonie was especially emphasized.
