Rome: Aleksić presented the decoration of President Vučić to Prof. Dr. Nanni Costa

On that occasion, a ceremony was organized at the Embassy of Serbia in Rome, and in addition to the diplomatic representatives of Serbia, the event was also attended by an associate of Prof. Dr. Nanni Costa for international cooperation, Paola Di Ciaccio.

Ambassador Aleksić thanked Prof. Dr. Nanni Costa on behalf of President Vučić, on the humanity and great understanding expressed towards Serbian citizens.

The ambassador reminded that the laureate also contributed to the signing of the Agreement on Organ Donation and Transplantation, which was signed by Serbia and Italy in February 2018.

Prof. Dr. Nanni Costa thanked Serbia and President Vučić for the high decoration, emphasizing that during his career he was always guided by altruism, sacrifice and the desire to help in every situation, especially the youngest ones.

Nanni Costa pointed out his readiness to continue engaging in strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the field of health, and especially in the education of doctors and medical staff, despite the fact that he is retired.

The event featured a video of a two-year-old boy, Maksimilijan from Serbia, who is one of many children who, thanks to Costa's efforts and cooperation with Italian institutions, got a chance for a new and better life.
