First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dacic receives a farewell call from the Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today a farewell call from the Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to the Republic of Serbia, seated in Rome, H.E. Mr. Md. Shameem Ahsan.

In a cordial conversation, the Serbian Foreign Minister thanked the Ambassador of Bangladesh for his engagement during his tenure and wished him success in his personal and professional life.

Minister Dacic said that he hoped the good cooperation with the Embassy of Bangladesh would be continued in the future with a view to strengthening bilateral relations and the friendly ties between the two countries.

The interlocutors agreed that Serbia-Bangladesh relations were traditionally friendly and based on historical contacts and cooperation established back in the early days of independence of Bangladesh and the intensive exchange within the Non-Aligned Movement.

They affirmed a mutual readiness for the further strengthening of political dialogue, exchange of visits, as well as for promoting cooperation in the economy and numerous other areas of common interest.

Ambassador Md. Shameem Ahsan congratulated Minister Dacic on the success of the Serbian basketball team and winning the silver medal at the Basketball World Cup, as well as on Belgrade’s winning bid to host the Specialized International Exhibition EXPO 2027, wishing the country much success in organizing such an important event.
