Đurić confers with Foreign Minister of Antigua and Barbuda
Minister Đurić stated that his presence at the OAS General Assembly, being held this year in Antigua and Barbuda, reflects the importance Serbia attaches to regional organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean. He emphasized Serbia’s openness to all suggestions on how to strengthen ties with member states, both bilaterally and within the framework of multilateral organizations.
The Serbian Foreign Minister underscored Serbia’s commitment to intensifying overall political dialogue with Antigua and Barbuda, as well as fostering closer contacts between the two foreign ministries with the aim of establishing regular political consultations.
Đurić also conveyed Serbia’s strong interest in advancing economic cooperation, noting the need to thoroughly examine and improve the legal framework governing this area.
He expressed special gratitude to Antigua and Barbuda for its decision to withdraw recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called Kosovo, as well as for its support in international organizations on issues of importance to the Republic of Serbia.
On this occasion, Minister Đurić also thanked Antigua and Barbuda for the official confirmation of its participation in Expo 2027, stating that Serbia looks forward to welcoming the friendly delegation to Belgrade.
