Jovanović: Strengthening Regional Cooperation within the A5 Initiative

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Nevena Jovanović participated in a working breakfast within the framework of the U.S.–Adriatic Charter (A5) initiative, held on the margins of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

In her remarks, State Secretary Jovanović underscored the significance of the A5 initiative as an important platform for enhancing regional stability, trust, and cooperation. She emphasized that today’s security challenges require international solidarity, timely and preventive action, as well as joint responses to complex security threats, including hybrid challenges.

Jovanović reaffirmed that the Republic of Serbia remains consistently committed to upholding international law, the sovereignty, and territorial integrity of all UN member states. She stressed that Serbia is dedicated to multilateralism, cooperation, and dialogue, guided by the conviction that lasting peace, stability, and a safer world can only be built through collective efforts and a responsible international approach.
