Second Round of Bilateral Consultations Between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Russian Federation Held

The heads of the delegations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Acting Assistant Minister Ambassador Katarina Lalić Smajević and Director of the Department for International Organizations Kirill Mikhailovich Logvinov, held in Moscow the second round of bilateral consultations on multilateral issues, with a particular focus on cooperation within the framework of the United Nations.
The parties exchanged views on the most important aspects of multilateral cooperation, as well as on other issues of mutual interest within international organizations.
Gratitude was reiterated to the Russian Federation for its firm and continuous support within the United Nations regarding the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, as well as for the protection of Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Following the consultations, a brief meeting was also held with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Alexander Sergeyevich Alimov.
