Ambassador Babić at the commemoration of the Slovak National Uprising

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Bratislava, Momčilo Babić, attended the central manifestation marking the Slovak National Uprising in Banska Bystrica, and on that occasion laid a flower on the joint wreath of the representatives of the diplomatic corps.
The event was attended by Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová, National Assembly Speaker Boris Kollár, the Prime Minister Eduard Heger, as well as other senior state representatives, participants in the uprising, members of the Slovak Union of Anti-Fascist Fighters, representatives of the diplomatic corps and representatives of political parties.
A particularly emotional moment of the celebration was the performance of the Partisan anthem, performed by the surviving participant of the uprising, Vladimír Strmeň, which mentions the joint struggle of Slovaks and Serbs, which reminds us of our historical connection and brotherhood of the two peoples.
