Ambassador Conić presented her credentials to the President of Guatemala

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Mexico, Tatjana Conić, presented her credentials to the President of the Republic of Guatemala, Alejandro Giammattei, at a ceremony held at the National Palace.

During her stay in Guatemala, Ambassador Conić met with Guatemala's Deputy Foreign Minister, Shirley Aguilar, with whom she discussed the promotion of joint strategies that encourage trade and investments between the two countries.

At the meeting with the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala, the Ambassador of Serbia discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and Aguilar said that the Government of Guatemala intends to work on expanding economic and trade relations with Serbia.

The interlocutors agreed on the importance of establishing cooperation between businessmen of the two countries, as well as that it would be important to organize a virtual forum for the promotion of tourism and business travels between the two countries in the coming period.

During her stay in Guatemala, Ambassador Conić also met with the President of the Congress of Guatemala, Allan Estuardo Rodríguez, and the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala, Ambassador Carlos Ramiro Martínez. She also had meetings with the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala, Ambassador Eduardo Enrique Hernández Recinos, the Director General for Bilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala, Ambassador Lynsay Hernández de Muñoz, the General Director for Multilateral and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala, Ambassador Ana Isabel Carrillo Fabián and the Mayor of Guatemala City, Ricardo Quiñónez.

Conić also used her stay in Guatemala to meet with the honorary consul of Serbia in this country, Marcela Arzu de Lozano, with whom she visited the Guatemalan village of Canton Serbia.
