Ankara: Ambassador Marković with the Special Adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Ankara, Zoran Marković, received the Special Adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Ambassador Erdoğan Kök. The topics of discussion were cooperation between the two countries related to the participation and the mutual support at the International Horticultural Exhibition EXPO 2023 Kahramanmaraş.
The two colleagues discussed the possibilities for cooperation between the Turkish city of Kahramanmaraş, which is the host of the exhibition EXPO 2023, and Belgrade, as a host candidate for EXPO 2027.
Ambassador Kök pointed out that this exhibition was a good opportunity to promote culture and said he expected Serbia to take part, like it had done at the EXPO exhibition in Antalya in 2016. He also conveyed Turkey’s readiness to continue enhancing cooperation between the two countries in this area as well.
Ambassador Marković agreed with his colleague and noted that every opportunity to present Serbia’s potentials was important, especially in a friendly country such as Turkey.
