Baghdad: Ambassador Balov with the head of the Parliamentary Security and Defence Committee

Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Baghdad Uroš Balov met with head of the Parliamentary Security and Defence Committee of Iraq General Khaled Al-Obaidi.
In a lengthy and friendly conversation, the interlocutors exchanged views on the current political and security situation, as well as the possibilities of upgrading cooperation between the two friendly countries in the field of defence and security.
General Al-Obaidi expressed readiness to visit Belgrade again, which he visited in 2014 as the then Minister of Defence, and he also emphasised that he had particularly fond memories of Belgrade, where he studied as a cadet of the Military Academy of the former Yugoslav People's Army in the 1980s and has earned his master's degree in technical sciences.
