Baghdad: Ambassador Balov visits the military air base

H.E. Uroš Balov - Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Iraq, visited the Imam Ali military air base in Nasiriyah, in the Dhi Qar province, is located some 400 km southwest of Baghdad.
Ambassador Balov was accompanied by the Deputy Commander of the Air Force of the Republic of Iraq, General Khalid Ismail and a number of high IQAF officials.
During the visit, the continuation of cooperation between the Iraqi Ministry of Defence and Serbian companies was discussed, and the host offered the Serbian ambassador the opportunity to inspect the state of Serbian-made Lasta aircraft that are stationed in this air base.
Marking the Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia, a festive meal was organized with the technical delegation of Yugoimport, which is staying at the base.
