Berlin: Ambassador Janković met the Minister for Federal and European Affairs of the State of Hessen

Ambassador Janković informed Minister Puttrich about the progress of Serbia's European integration, emphasising the need to intensify the EU accession process and Serbia's commitment in implementing reforms.

After pointing out the excellent long-term cooperation and partnership between Hessen and AP Vojvodina, Ambassador Janković conveyed Serbia's interest in further strengthening economic cooperation, as well as cooperation in the field of culture and education, noting that Novi Sad has been elected the European Capital of Culture in 2022.

Minister Puttrich emphasised the support of the Government of Hessen for the European integration of Serbia, noting that the State of Hessen was ready to provide Serbia with concrete assistance in the reform process.

Also, she announced an intention to visit Serbia and Vojvodina and, following a period in which personal contacts were largely reduced due to the pandemic, to discuss joint activities and continue cooperation with partners in Vojvodina.

Minister Puttrich expressed particular interest in intensifying economic relations, as well as in joint activities in the field of promoting the long tradition of cultural and educational ties between Serbia and Germany.
