Bern: Ambassador Bradić meets with teachers of the Serbian Language Supplementary School

25. Sep 2022.
The Teachers Council of the Serbian Language Supplementary School held a session in the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Bern, on the occasion of the beginning of the new school year.

Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Switzerland Goran Bradić wished the teachers a lot of success in their work and thanked them for their past efforts..

The meeting of the teaching staff was chaired by the Supplementary Education Coordinator, Biljana Bukinac. She thanked the Embassy in Bern and the Consulate General in Zurich for their support and efforts to ensure an enrolment of as many children as possible for this school.

Last year, the supplementary education in Switzerland was attended by 1,328 children, and this year it will be attended by 66 more children than in 2021/22.

Due to the fact that more students have been enrolled in supplementary education this year and the new territorial organisation in Switzerland, three new teachers will be recruited this year. Thus, 19 teachers (4 regular and 15 part-time teachers) will be working with Serbian children this school year.
