Bern: Ambassador Bradić with the Secretary of State of the MFA of Switzerland, Livia Leu

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Switzerland, Goran Bradić, met with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, Livia Leu.

During the talks, both sides assessed that bilateral political and economic relations have maintained a high level of quality, diversity and intensity this year as well, despite the pandemic restrictions.

In the past ten months, political consultations were held between the ministries of foreign affairs of the two countries, and then the Joint Commission for Economic Affairs in Belgrade.

The Tenth Migration Dialogue was organized in Bern, as well as the regional conference on the establishment of the South East European International Institute for Sustainable Technologies (SEEIIST), which was attended by representatives of Serbia.

Ambassador Bradić thanked for the numerous projects within the Development Assistance, which is implemented by the State Secretariat of Switzerland for Cooperation and which this year marked three decades since the beginning of the implementation of activities in Serbia.

He also mentioned several significant investments of Swiss companies in Serbia, such as the factories BarryCallebaut in Novi Sad and RegentLighting in Svilajnac, whose plants were opened this year, as well as today's arrival of the first three new sets of trains of the Swiss company Stadler, with speeds of up to 200 km per hour.

Bradić expressed hope that Swiss investors will make even greater use of the favorable business climate in our country for new investments.

State Secretary Leu pointed out that the two countries have many things in common, including a large Serbian diaspora, and that relations with Serbia and the countries of the Western Balkans region are of strategic importance to Bern.
