Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the DR Congo Miroljub Jevtić handed over copies of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Congo Jean-Claude Gakosso.

At the meeting, the development of bilateral relations was discussed and Minister Gakosso expressed a wish to further strengthen these relations by a series of bilateral agreements on cooperation in the field of economy, agriculture, education and other areas of interest.

Minister Gakosso in particular welcomed the wish of President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić and Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Selaković to develop relations with the francophone countries of Africa.

He pointed out that the Republic of Congo was under great pressures regarding recognition of independence of the so-called Kosovo and added that the Congo's position was that Kosovo was an integral part of Serbia, which he has repeated personally several times to the officials of this false state.

Ambassador Jevtić took the opportunity to hand over part of the documentation required for the recovery of Serbia's asset in Brazzaville.
