Canberra: Ambassador Stefanović meets with the Bishop of Australia and New Zealand Siluan

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Australia, Rade Stefanović, spoke with the Bishop of Australia and New Zealand, Siluan, at the bishop's residence in Cabramatta.

The Ambassador thanked the Bishop for the warm welcome, expressed satisfaction with the cooperation of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia with the Metropolitanate of the Serbian Orthodox Church and pointed out that the joint activities of the two institutions is crucial for preserving and nurturing the Serbian language, culture and traditions.

Both men reflected on the position and needs of members of the Serbian community in this area, and discussed joint plans for further cooperation.

On behalf of the clergy and worshipers of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Australia and New Zealand, Bishop Siluan welcomed the ambassador and wished him success in his further work.

He stated that he was looking forward to future cooperation with the Embassy and the Ambassador personally, and stressing that it is extremely important for the well-being of our people on the fifth continent.
