Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Serbia opened in Bursa

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, Zoran Marković, officially opened the Consulate of the Republic of Serbia in Bursa today, headed by the Honorary Consul Zarif Alp.

In his address, Ambassador Marković emphasized the importance of good bilateral relations between Serbia and Turkey.

He emphasized that Zarif Alp is one of the prominent businessmen in the field of metal industry, he owns seven factories, he is a subcontractor of brands such as Ferguson, Fiat and Renault. He added that he was recognized in the emigrant community as someone who gathers people around him and selflessly helps the place where he came from – Prijepolje. 

In addition to Ambassador Marković and Honorary Consul Alp, the heads of friendship groups of both national assemblies as well as MPs of all parties in the Turkish Parliament also spoke at the meeting, which speaks of the reputation that Zarif Alp enjoys in Bursa.

The ceremony was attended by more than 200 guests, including the deputy governor of the district, heads of friendship groups in the parliaments of Serbia and Turkey, deputies in the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey, mayors of Prijepolje and Novi Pazar, as well as more than 50 prominent businessmen from Bursa, who are members of the association of Turkish businessmen from the Balkans – RUMELISAID, whose president is Zarif Alp.

The meeting was also attended by the deputy president of TASYAPI Corporation, which is building a highway from Belgrade to Sarajevo and expanding the network of local roads on the stretch Novi Pazar – Tutin. 

The event was covered by six Turkish televisions, two of which with a national frequency.
