Prague: The 23rd anniversary of the bombing of Yugoslavia is marked

Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Czech Republic Berislav Vekić organised a cocktail party for the participants of the gathering held on the occasion of marking the 23rd anniversary of the bombing of Yugoslavia.

The organizer of this already traditional action is the Czech association Friends of Serbs in Kosovo, whose Chairman is the famous film director Václav Dvořák.

A memorial service was held for the 23rd time for the victims of the former Yugoslavia bombing in front of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Prague at 8:05 PM sharp yesterday, before citizens who gathered there in large numbers.

The organizer of the gathering, film director Dvořák, addressed the audience, emphasising that Yugoslavia had never threatened anyone, that the act of bombing was barbaric, and that killing civilians was unreasonable.

Member of the Czech Parliament Jaroslav Foldyna then addressed the gathered people and said that the bombing was a grave violation of international law, and that, as of that moment, international law was replaced by force.

Member of the European Parliament Ivan David and writer Lenka Procházková also spoke at the gathering and condemned the bombing.
