Rijeka: Consul General Petrović and Consul Marjanović visited Pula

The Consul General in Rijeka, Goran Petrović, met with the Mayor of Pula, Filip Zorčić, at the Communal Palace, with whom he discussed the possibilities for improving cooperation in several areas, as well as the position of the Serbian national community in Pula.

During the conversation, the consul general emphasized the importance of holding the Day of Serbian Culture and the Festival of Serbian Culture and thanked the representatives of the city of Pula for regularly attending the programs organized by Serbian associations.

The meeting was attended by Consul Vladimir Marjanović, councilor in the Assembly, Milan Rašula and Miloš Bajić, President of the Serbian National Minority Council of the Istrian County and councilor in the Assembly of the Istrian County.

In the Serbian Cultural Center in Pula, Consul General Petrović and Consul Marjanović met with the President of the Association of Serbs in Istria, Miomir Jeremić, President and the Vice President of SCS Istria "Nikola Tesla", Milan Čubrilo and Branko Daić Bursać and President of SCS "Prosvjeta" – Pula Subcommittee, Tatjana Savić, and on that occasion, a donation of books was handed over, a gift from the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia.

The consul general and the consul also visited the elementary school "Tone Peruška" in Pula, where they met with the religious teacher, priest-staurophore Goran Petković and students of Serbian and Russian nationality who attend the Orthodox religious education classes, and handed them a donation of auxiliary teaching literature, which was jointly provided by the city of Cacak and Auto Cacak, as well as the Faculty of Pedagogy from Sombor and the Serbian Tourist Organization.
