Romania: Ambassador Tomašević at the Vidovdan celebration

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Bucharest, Stefan Tomašević, attended the Vidovdan celebration in Romania, which was held in Timisoara and the Zlatica Monastery, organized by the Union of Serbs in Romania (USR) and the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Timisoara.

On that occasion, an appropriate cultural and artistic program was prepared, and Vidovdan charters and letters of recognition were awarded to deserving individuals and organizations.

The ceremony was also attended by the President of the USR and Serbian Member of the Romanian Parliament, Ognjan Krstić, Deputy of the Diocese of Timisoara, archpriest-stavrophore Marinko Markov, as well as the Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in Timisoara, Vladan Tadić, who was awarded the highest recognition of the USR, the Vidovdan Charter.

Since 1993, the Union of Serbs in Romania has awarded the Vidovdan Charter and letters of recognition to deserving individuals or institutions from Romania, for their outstanding long-term contribution and results in the field of promoting the Serbian community, developing cultural, educational, spiritual and economic activities, as well as for cooperation and strengthening the ties of the home country with the Serbs from Romania.
