Sofia: Ambassador Jović at the celebration of the Day of Veliko Tarnovo

Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Bulgaria Željko Jović attended the celebration of the Day of Veliko Tarnovo as a personal guest of Mayor Daniel Panov.
The ceremony was attended by Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria Iliana Iotova and other high-ranking officials from the political and public life of Bulgaria.
The Town of Veliko Tarnovo, which has been the capital of the Bulgarian state twice throughout the history, also preserves the memory of the Serbian great saint and educator, St. Sava, who died and was buried in Veliko Tarnovo in 1236; soon after that his remains were transferred to Serbia.
The place in the Church of the Holy 40 Great Martyrs where St. Sava was buried is still preserved with great respect and love.
During his visit to Veliko Tarnovo, Ambassador Jović also met with Metropolitan of Veliko Tarnovo, Gregory.
