16. May 2022.
Serbian Canadian humanitarian non-profit organisation For the Invisible Heroes in cooperation with the Friends of the 72nd Special Brigade Association from Pančevo have organised the premiere screening of a documentary film called The Glorious 72nd Special and, through Zoom, a video panel discussion with guests from a Belgrade studio and the Cultural Centre of the All Serbian Saints Orthodox Church in Mississauga, Canada.

The event was attended by a large number of members of the Serbian community from Toronto and Ontario, and Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in Toronto Vasilije Petković who was invited as a special guest by the organisers. The Consul General was presented a letter of appreciation by Zlatko Šarac, the President of the humanitarian NGO For the Invisible Heroes, for his great support in organising humanitarian actions to help soldiers.

The screening of the documentary film was followed by the video panel discussion with guests from Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, retired Serbian Armed Forces Major General Milorad Stupar, retired police Lieutenant Colonel Miroslav Vulić, and retired Colonel of the Republic of Srpska Army Milan Jolović. In addition to the origins and the activities of the 72nd Special Brigade, the topics of the panel discussion were the organisation of military service in the Serbian Armed Forces and the current situation in Ukraine.

The documentary film was made with the help of the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, the Friends of the 72nd Special Brigade Association and the Command of the 72nd Special Brigade.

The goals of the organisers were to promote the Serbian Armed Forces through a brief overview of life and work in the 72nd Special Brigade, to acquaint the audience with historical facts related to the formation, the activities and the operations of the 72nd Special Brigade and its fallen, former and active members, as well as to collect funds to help socially and medically vulnerable soldiers and their families through the Hand of a Friend 2022–2023 initiative.
