Ambassador Đurić conveyed to Senator Murphy that the US support for the “Open Balkans” initiative represents an active contribution to the improvement of relations in the region, assessing that the affirmative messages of American officials about this type of regional cooperation have a strong resonance in our part of Europe.

He underlined that the positive messages about our bilateral relations, as well as of the future of the region, that we receive from our American partners instil additional security and contribute to the growth of interest in the investment potential of our corner of Europe.

Đurić informed the senator about the current situation in relations between Belgrade and Priština, repeating that the Serbian side continues to be a constructive partner that strives to find a compromise, and that as such it is the embodiment of responsibility and stability.
