Yerevan : Ambassador Panajotovic Cvetkovic presented the credentials of the acting president of Armenia

The first Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Armenia H.E. Ms Tatjana Panajotović-Cvetković presented her credentials to the Acting President of the Republic of Armenia Mr. Alen Simonyan at an official ceremony at the Presidential Palace.

The Ambassador conveyed the cordial greetings of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, along with wishes for the continued development of friendship and solidarity between the two peoples and the intensification of cooperation between Serbia and Armenia.

After the ceremony, a meeting was held to discuss the status of bilateral relations and prospects for their development. The interlocutors agreed that the appointment of the resident ambassador in Yerevan is another step within the new phase of bilateral relations, which began with the exchange of visits at the highest level, the opening of the Serbian Embassy in Yerevan, and the abolition of visas for Serbian and Armenian citizens.

The bilateral cooperation so far was reviewed, as well as the good relations, historical and cultural ties, mutual understanding and solidarity between the Serbian and Armenian people, and the significant political support of Armenia to the territorial integrity of Serbia.

The existence of a solid groundwork and a potential for intensifying relations in all areas, especially in the field of economy and trade involving agriculture, information technology, food safety, tourism, and many other fields from culture, education, science to health, sports and youth.

During the half-hour conversation, the interlocutors exchanged information on the security situation in the South Caucasus region and current international issues.
