Consular consultations between Serbia and Iran

Representatives of the ministries of foreign affairs of Serbia and Iran held consular consultations today in video format.

It was mutually stated that there is an intensive dialogue at all levels and the importance of Minister Selaković's visit to Iran in April this year was emphasized.

Positions were exchanged regarding the contractual situation in the consular area, issues from migration policy, readmission and education were discussed, and it was agreed that the dialogue in the consular domain would be intensified through further expert meetings.

Also, the participation of the Iranian delegation in Belgrade at the high-level Meeting on the occasion of marking the 60th anniversary of the first conference of the Non-Aligned Movement was welcomed.

In addition to the representatives of the ministries of foreign affairs of the two sides, representatives of the Ministry of Interior of Serbia, as well as the ambassadors of Iran in Belgrade and Serbia in Tehran, participated in today's consultations.

The Iranian delegation was led by the Director General for Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Mahmoud Adib, and the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia was led by the Acting Assistant Minister for Consular Affairs, Ambassador Vera Vukićević.
