Jovanović confers the Ambassador of Algeria

In a cordial conversation, the two sides reaffirmed the traditional friendship and decades-long excellent relations between the two countries, as well as their mutual readiness to further develop political dialogue at all levels and to continue strengthening cooperation in all areas of common interest.

During the meeting, views were also exchanged on the current situation in the Western Balkans and the Middle East, with a shared affirmation of Serbia’s and Algeria’s commitment to upholding the principles of international law, which is of particular importance given the present complex geopolitical challenges.

On this occasion, State Secretary Jovanović expressed gratitude to Algeria for confirming its participation in the international exhibition Expo 2027, emphasizing that this will represent yet another important opportunity both to further enhance bilateral cooperation and to promote the two countries in the region and beyond.
