Jovanović confers with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan

In a cordial and constructive exchange, both sides noted the exceptionally high level of bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and Azerbaijan, which continue to develop successfully across all areas of mutual interest. The interlocutors underlined in particular the importance of the newly established Strategic Partnership Council, whose inaugural session is expected to take place in the near future, assessing that this mechanism represents a key instrument for the further advancement of political, economic, and cultural ties between the two countries.

Views were also exchanged on developments in the Western Balkans and South Caucasus, with a shared reaffirmation of Serbia’s and Azerbaijan’s commitment to the principles of international law, as well as to strengthening good-neighborly relations and cooperation with countries in their respective regions, especially in light of the current complex geopolitical challenges.
