Jovanović confers with the Director of the International Labour Organization for Central and Eastern Europe

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed modalities for further cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the ILO, with special emphasis on activities aimed at improving the position and rights of workers. In this context, they particularly referred to the launch of a project dedicated to occupational safety and health, which the International Labour Organization is implementing in cooperation with the Delegation of the European Union and the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs.

Jovanović expressed Serbia’s clear intention to continue enhancing communication and cooperation with representatives of the International Labour Organization, noting that the ILO’s activities are of immense importance and fully complementary to national efforts to improve the status of employees.
