Jovanović confers with U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires

The State Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Nevena Jovanović, met today with Paul Jukić, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the United States of America in Belgrade.

In the course of an open and substantive exchange, both sides expressed satisfaction with the advancement and intensification of bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and the United States. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of the recent successful visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić to Washington and his meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, as well as the forthcoming establishment of a Strategic Dialogue, which was assessed as a step that will further strengthen the partnership and deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including the economy, energy, defense, and modern technologies.

The interlocutors underscored the importance of preserving regional stability as an essential precondition for broader cooperation in the Western Balkans. In this context, State Secretary Jovanović took the opportunity to reaffirm the Republic of Serbia’s commitment to the principles of good-neighborly relations, constructive dialogue, and joint efforts to strengthen mutual trust and understanding.
