Jović Confers with New Ambassador of Azerbaijan

The State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Damjan Jović met today with Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan Tahir Taghizade.
During the meeting, the traditionally friendly bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Azerbaijan were reaffirmed, along with the readiness of both sides to further strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly in the economic sphere.
The interlocutors welcomed the launch of the direct Belgrade–Baku air service and expressed their expectation that the new route would provide additional impetus to the development of tourism and facilitate closer ties between the business communities of the two countries.
State Secretary Jović wished Ambassador Taghizade every success in the performance of his duties and a pleasant stay in the Republic of Serbia.
