Both sides expressed readiness to further enhance their traditional friendship, with the discussion focusing on the achieved intensification of economic and cultural cooperation, as well as on strengthening connectivity in the areas of infrastructure and energy. It was assessed that the recent opening of the Consulate of North Macedonia in Pančevo represents an important element in strengthening overall relations.

Kozarev underlined that Serbia remains firmly committed to the spirit and objectives of the “Open Balkan” initiative, emphasizing that it represents a kind of “mini-Schengen” on the path toward full accession to the Schengen Area. The interlocutors agreed that the two countries are the closest to this goal in the region, as they have made the greatest progress in mutual integration, including the removal of all controls and restrictions.

European integration was also an important topic of discussion. Mutual support for the European path was reaffirmed, along with readiness for further exchange of experiences and deepening of cooperation in this field
