The Assistant Ministers of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Cooperation, Ambassador Tamara Rastovac Siamashvili, and for Security Policy, Ambassador Igor Kuželka, held a meeting today with representatives of the National Institute for Security Studies (NISS) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who are currently visiting Serbia.

This year’s study visit, titled “Energy Security – Serbia’s Experience,” marks the continuation of the longstanding cooperation between NISS and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, as well as the University of Defence. As part of this cooperation, regular visits to Serbian institutions, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Serbian companies, have been established.

During the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Rastovac Siamashvili briefed the NISS delegation on the key priorities of Serbia’s foreign policy, its relations with African countries, and specifically highlighted the bilateral relations between Serbia and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Ambassador Kuželka then presented the principal areas and topics within the purview of the Sector for Security Policy, placing particular emphasis on energy security, which is the central focus of the NISS delegation’s study visit.
