Minister Dacic confers with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with Andreas Photiou, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Republic of Serbia, who recently presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.

The Serbian Foreign Minister welcomed his collocutor and wished him a successful tenure as Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus in Belgrade, and said that he expected the relations between Serbia and Cyprus, based on firm friendship, mutual trust and historically proven closeness and solidarity between the two peoples, to be promoted further during his term-of-office.

In the talks, they reiterated the firm positions regarding the support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia and Cyprus, as well as mutual satisfaction with the level of cooperation achieved in multilateral forums, especially when it comes to defending the key foreign policy priorities of the two states.
