Selaković congratulates Szijjártó on his re-election as the Head of Hungarian diplomacy

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Nikola Selaković has congratulated Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó on his re-election, expressing his belief that Minister Szijjártó’s dedication and committed efforts would contribute to Hungary’s continued progress.

“I am proud of the level of bilateral relations between our two countries, which is at the highest point in recent history. I hereby reaffirm the commitment of the Republic of Serbia to the further strengthening of the overall ties with Hungary”, stated Minister Selaković, stressing the importance of fruitful cooperation on the infrastructure projects between Serbia and Hungary.

Minister Selaković pointed out that the frequency of meetings with Minister Szijjártó and the talks that were taking place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere confirmed the mutual readiness for further development of the extremely successful cooperation between the two countries’ respective Ministries of Foreign Affairs. “I would like to take this opportunity to express my deep appreciation for the support Hungary has been continuously providing us in the process of European Union integration, with the assurance that Serbia can count on an adequate evaluation of reforms it has been implementing on the path to full EU membership”, Minister Selaković underlined and reiterated that he was looking forward to the continuation of cooperation and upcoming meetings with Minister Szijjártó.
