Serbian delegation in Damascus confers with Syrian Foreign Minister
During the cordial and constructive discussions, the two sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Syria, with particular emphasis on matters of shared interest in the fields of economic collaboration, regional stability, humanitarian initiatives, and people-to-people ties.
Minister Zukorlić reaffirmed Serbia’s readiness to contribute to Syria’s reconstruction and stabilization efforts through institutional cooperation and concrete projects, thereby further enhancing the bonds between the peoples of the two countries. He underlined the importance of continued dialogue, solidarity, and mutual respect in times of global challenges.
Minister al-Shaibani expressed his gratitude for the visit and for Serbia’s openness to cooperation, emphasizing that such exchanges contribute to deepening the political, economic, and cultural relations between the two friendly nations.
Alongside Minister Zukorlić, the delegation included Mr. Damjan Jović, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, and Mr. Milan Trojanović, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Lebanon.
This visit served as an opportunity to renew cooperation and re-establish channels of communication between the two states.
