Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the evacuation of Serbian citizens from Sudan

Today, on 23 April, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, in collaboration with the relevant authorities of the United Nations, United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Türkiye, started the evacuation of citizens of the Republic of Serbia from Khartoum, Sudan.
Four of our citizens departed on a UN convoy. A UAE convoy evacuated six of our citizens, while another Serbian citizen joined a convoy organised by the Republic of Türkiye.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with international partners, is continuing its efforts to find solutions for evacuation of the remaining citizens of the Republic in Serbia in Sudan who have expressed a wish to be evacuated.
