Venezuela officially confirms participation in EXPO 2027

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Dusan Kozarev, met today with the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Haidis Julieta Briceño.

On this occasion, the Ambassador handed over a letter from President Nicolás Maduro to President Aleksandar Vučić, officially confirming Venezuela’s participation in the Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2027 to be held in Belgrade. Secretary General Kozarev expressed both professional and personal satisfaction that Venezuela will take part in this important international event.

Ambassador Briceño, sharing the Serbian leadership’s enthusiasm regarding the organization of EXPO 2027 and closely following all preparatory activities, extended her best wishes for success not only to Serbia as the host country but to all participating nations. She emphasized that the projects and connections established through such events have long-lasting value for future generations.

The two interlocutors agreed that, despite the geographical distance, Serbia and Venezuela enjoy a long-standing friendship and mutual understanding on key national and state matters. They noted that the two countries share similarities in terms of their geopolitical positions and expressed interest in further strengthening cooperation across numerous areas of common importance, reflecting the closeness of their peoples in mentality and sensibility.

Secretary General Kozarev also thanked Venezuela for its continued support in multilateral forums, particularly with regard to the issue of Kosovo and Metohija.

Ambassador Briceño extended an invitation to Serbia to participate in the upcoming agricultural fair in Caracas, describing it as an important platform for establishing strategic partnerships and cooperation in the agricultural sector.
