Đurić and Sa’ar lay wreaths at the “Menorah in Flames” Memorial to Jewish victims

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Marko Đurić and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel Gideon Sa’ar, who is on an official visit to Belgrade, today laid wreaths at the “Menorah in Flames” monument dedicated to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust in Donji Dorćol.
Following the ceremony, the two ministers formally inaugurated the renovated basketball court located near the memorial, a project in which the Embassy of Israel in Serbia also took part.
On this occasion, Minister Đurić presented Minister Sa’ar with a basketball, symbolizing both their personal friendship and the enduring bonds between the two states.
The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Israel to Serbia Aviv Sharon Bar-Ilan, the Ambassador of Serbia to Israel Miroljub Petrović, Honorary Consul of Serbia in Israel Aleksandar Nikolić, as well as representatives of the City of Belgrade. Special guest at the event was renowned Serbian basketball player Dejan Tomašević.
