Đurić confers with the New Ambassador of France

03. Nov 2025.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, met today with the new Ambassador of the French Republic to Serbia, Florence Ferrari.

Wishing her a successful mandate, Minister Đurić expressed his confidence that cooperation with Ambassador Ferrari will continue to be successful and constructive, aimed at the further advancement of relations between Serbia and France.

The head of Serbian diplomacy emphasized that the level of bilateral relations is best reflected in the strategic partnership established nearly fifteen years ago, as well as in the intensive political dialogue maintained through regular meetings between Presidents Aleksandar Vučić and Emmanuel Macron, other high-level visits, and the continuous exchange of views on key issues. In this regard, he expressed hope that his French counterpart, Jean-Noël Barrot, would visit Serbia in the near future.

The interlocutors discussed bilateral cooperation, with particular focus on economic ties, noting that they have been developing intensively in recent years and expanding into new areas.

Speaking about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, Minister Đurić drew special attention to the difficult circumstances faced by the Serbian population as a result of a series of unilateral moves by Pristina, underlining the necessity of ensuring the security of the Serbian people and subsequently implementing the obligations arising from the agreements reached thus far.

Minister Đurić reiterated that membership in the European Union remains Serbia’s strategic commitment and foreign policy priority, expressing gratitude to France for its continued support to Serbia’s European perspective.

Referring to regional issues, Minister Đurić underscored that Serbia is firmly committed to peace and stability—both within its own borders and throughout the region.
