Đurić: Serbia and Liberia committed to strengthening cooperation
Minister Đurić emphasized that Serbia and Liberia are connected by a long-standing friendship and cooperation dating back to the era of the Non-Aligned Movement, recalling that Liberia was one of the first sub-Saharan African countries with which Serbia established diplomatic relations. He underlined that Serbia remains firmly committed to strengthening political dialogue and comprehensive cooperation, through regular visits and contacts at high and the highest levels.
Speaking about foreign policy priorities, Minister Đurić stated that Serbia will continue to develop good and balanced relations both with the East and the West, nurturing its traditional friendships. He added that Serbia remains committed to dialogue, the preservation of peace, and the strengthening of regional cooperation, which represent the foundation of stability and progress.
The head of Serbian diplomacy also pointed to the significant economic achievements that Serbia has attained, noting that reforms in recent years have enabled the stabilization of public finances and the creation of a favorable environment for foreign investment. In this context, he expressed Serbia’s readiness to share its experiences with Liberia, with the aim of strengthening economic cooperation and creating new opportunities for partnership.
Minister Đurić highlighted that Serbia attaches particular importance to cooperation and institutional ties between the two ministries of foreign affairs, expressing interest in the regular holding of political consultations. He also pointed out the enormous potential for advancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of agriculture, healthcare, education, tourism, and energy.
