Đurić: Serbia Committed to Further Advancing Relations with Azerbaijan
Minister Đurić emphasized that Serbia remains committed to further enhancing cooperation in all areas, particularly in the field of energy, bearing in mind the strategic importance of energy security for the country.
He noted that there is significant potential for expanding cooperation in tourism, especially in the spa tourism segment, given Serbia’s exceptional natural resources, as well as opportunities to encourage new investments and strengthen overall economic ties.
The meeting also addressed the latest modalities of European Union enlargement and Serbia’s potential positioning in relation to the renewed approach to the accession process.
Đurić underlined that Serbia highly values Baku’s consistent support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia in accordance with international law, and briefed his counterpart on the current circumstances and challenges facing the Serbian population in Kosovo and Metohija.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on issues of global importance, including security and economic challenges in the contemporary international environment.
The ministers expressed confidence that the Strategic Partnership Council will serve as an important mechanism for political coordination and contribute to making Serbia–Azerbaijan relations even more substantive, concrete, and oriented toward long-term results.
