Friendly and partner relations of Serbia and Bahrain, confirmed mutual embassy opening in both countries

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Nikola Selaković, has discussed in New York today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani.

Selaković said that Serbia was committed to the development of friendly and partner relations with Bahrain emphasizing that the evidence to this was the visit of President Vučić to Bahrain and the visit of the high delegation of Bahrain led by Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Selaković pointed out that Serbia was decisive to improve the complete cooperation with Bahrain and expressed satisfaction with the confirmation of mutual embassy opening in the capitals of the two countries, which would, according to his words, be a great step towards deepening of bilateral relations.

As evidence to this, according to the words of the Serbian Foreign Minister, there is a fact that the agreement on comprehensive cooperation of Serbia and Bahrain is being prepared.

Selaković dedicated special attention to the improvement of economic and trade cooperation stating that the two countries had potential for cooperation in numerous fields, especially in the field of hospitality industry, agricultural and food industry, logistics department, IT department and telecommunications.

Moreover, on this occasions, he introduced Minister Alzayani to economic success of Serbia in the previous seven-year period and invited Bahrain companies to increase their presence at the Serbian market.

The Serbian Foreign Minister added that he expected the Bahrain delegation’s presence at the October event in Belgrade on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the First conference of the Non-Allied Movement in Belgrade.
