Great potential to improve cooperation of Serbia and Rwanda

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Nikola Selaković, has met in New York today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Rwanda, Vincent Biruta.

Minister Selaković stated in the discussion that there is a great potential for strengthening of bilateral relations, which could be encouraged by high and top-level meetings. Minister Biruta accepted the invitation of Minister Selaković and confirmed that the official visit to Serbia would soon be realized.

Thanking for this, Minister Selaković expressed the expectation also that the high-level delegation of Rwanda would take part in Belgrade at the upcoming celebration of the 60th anniversary of the First conference of the Non-Allied Movement.

According to words of the Serbian Foreign Minister, particular possibilities for the intensification of cooperation of our two countries exist in the fields of trade and agriculture. The interlocutors reviewed also potentials for the improvement of the relations in the field of education and scientific and technological cooperation.

Selaković expressed gratitude for the fact that Rwanda did not recognize unilaterally declared independence of so-called Kosovo and introduced the interlocutor with the situation in southern Serbian province and the latest provocations of Priština.
